Each year Theatre Ontario celebrates the achievements of Ontario-based theatre artists who have made a sustained and significant contribution to the development of theatre in the Province of Ontario. On May 23, Ron Cameron-Lewis received the Maggie Bassett Award that recognized his ongoing contribution to theatre throughout Ontario. The five-day festival chaired by Sandra Houston of Sault Theatre Workshop also featured workshops led by Ron Cameron-Lewis, Annette Wishman, and Steven McCarthy; play readings by Paul Ledoux hosted by Playwrights Canada Press and Playwrights Guild of Canada; presentations of The Immigrants' Stories by Theatre In Motion and The Covered Mirror by Family Life Theatre; and Theatre Ontario’s annual general meeting. |
